Tea, Scones & A Book for Worthing

Join us for the launch of a new book written to help the fight for Worthing’s heritage. What’s in a Name, The Streets of Worthing, was researched and compiled by Wendy Greene, with the assistance of Chrissie Greene.

It looks at the origins of the names of streets in the town from coast to railway, extending from Heene Road to East Worthing and includes lots of interesting, and sometimes surprising, facts.

Wendy will start with a short introduction at 3pm and will be available all afternoon to talk about the inspiration for this fascinating new book and the research journey, while you enjoy tea and scones.
