We are delighted to be welcoming Alex New, Curator of the magnificent Highdown Gardens.

Some of you will have visited the gardens many times, maybe watching it evolve and improve over the years. Others may have missed out on this gem of an attraction. Either way, once you have heard Alex’s story of how it came to be and what is on offer, we are sure you will take the first opportunity to pay a visit.

 

The talk will begin at 12 noon and will be followed by a two-course lunch all for £28

Naturally Smoked fillet of haddock (GF)

Mashed potato, wholegrain mustard cream pea sauce, green beans

 

Slow cooked Porchetta (GF/DF)

Belly of Pork infused with caraway and fennel seeds, fresh bramley apple puree, local scrumpy sauce, roasted new potatoes

 

Indigo nut and seed roast

Mushroom sauce  and roasted courgettes

 


DESSERT

Caramel roasted pineapple (GF/can be vegan with substitute)

Coconut ice cream , passion fruit syrup

 

Sticky toffee pudding

Salted toffee sauce & vanilla ice cream

  

A selection of mature Cheddar and Brie (can be gf)

Rhubarb chutney and savoury biscuits
